ICIC Program Alumni among largest BIPOC-owned businesses in Massachusetts

20 of the 71 companies on the annual-published list have participated in one or more ICIC Urban Business Initiative!

The Boston Business Journal (BBJ) last week published its annual ranking of the largest BIPOC-owned businesses in Massachusetts ranked by total 2020 revenue. Of the 71 companies listed, 20 have participated in one or more of ICIC’s Urban Business Initiatives (Inner City Capital Connections (ICCC), Inner City 100 (IC100), 10,000 Small Businesses (10KSB), and Cultivate Small Business (CSB)) – that’s more than 28% of the list and a stat we are proud to share.

These amazing BIPOC-owned small business alumni collectively employed 1,128 people locally (and 1,178 overall), and significantly contributed to Massachusetts’ economic engine with a total of more than $131 MILLION in revenue. Twelve ICIC alumni rank within the top half of the 2020 list with an average of $10.75 MILLION in revenue.

Join us in supporting and celebrating the continued success of these 20 Massachusetts small businesses:
