This story is the fourth in a series of Stories of Resilience that demonstrate the generosity, creativity and community-building spirit that countless ICIC alumni have shown during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Yolanda Owens is the founder and owner of Atlanta-based Iwi Fresh, a farm-to-skin spa that sells products, offers services, and has doubled down on creative natural skincare solutions during the COVID-19 crisis. Like most small businesses, Yolanda has had to pivot her business model in order to stay economically viable and continue to provide a livelihood to her cherished staff. Yolanda is a graduate of ICIC’s Inner City Capital Connections program and in 2018 presented at ICIC’s National Conference.
ICIC drives inclusive economic prosperity in under-resourced communities through innovative research and programs to create jobs, income, and wealth for local residents.
