Highlighting Indigenous-owned small businesses you can support today (and every day)

Indigenous Peoples’ Day is celebrated on the second Monday of October and November is Native American Heritage Month. This time recognizes and honors Indigenous, Native American, Native Hawaiian, and Native Alaskan communities, and the contributions of these communities and small businesses to every aspect of our society.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau’s most recent estimates on the characteristics of employer businesses in its Annual Business Survey, there are an estimated 24,433 American Indian and Alaska Native-owned businesses in the United States with approximately $33.7 billion in receipts, roughly 200,256 employees, and about $8.2 billion in annual payroll.

To mark Indigenous Peoples’ Day and Native American Heritage Month, we are highlighting several small businesses whose Indigenous, Native American, Native Hawaiian, and Native Alaskan owners are alumni of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses and Inner City Capital Connections (ICCC) programs and are an integral part of the fabric of the communities where their businesses are located (and beyond). We will continue to update this list with other companies.
