NMSDC Conference: Fostering Diversity, Celebrating Success, and Advocating for Change

In a vibrant week at the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) conference in Baltimore, ICIC fostered connections, celebrated achievements, and advocated for transformative change in supplier diversity. The conference provided a platform for ICIC to engage with alumni, community partners, sponsors, and industry leaders from across the country.

Advancing Racial Equity
ICIC’s research team had the opportunity to contribute to the conference by presenting on “Advancing Racial Equity in America’s New Industrial Transformation.” The presentation by Howard Wial, ICIC’s Director of Research, focused on bridging representation gaps for Black and Hispanic manufacturers within major supply chains supported by recent federal industrial policy legislation. ICIC’s commitment to addressing systemic disparities and advocating for equity shone through in this insightful discussion.

A moment of pride for ICIC was celebrating the achievements of this year’s NMSDC awardees.
