Join us as we kick off the conference, reuniting with peers and partners from across North America at Cerveceria La Tropical. William Porro, Assistant Director for the Office of Innovation & Economic Development for Mayor Daniella Levine Cave, will share welcome remarks. Live music from MannySwagg and salsa from the Karibe Dance Group will provide entertainment while you network and enjoy delicious treats and drinks.

8:00 a.m. | Welcome Remarks by ICIC CEO Steve Grossman
ICIC’s CEO, Steve Grossman, will deliver welcome remarks to start our full day of events, including keynote speeches from Christina DeLay, Head of Small Business and CSR for Santander, the conference presenting sponsor; Alberto Perlman, CEO and co-founder, Zumba Fitness, LLC; Ingrid Hoffmann, Author and Host of Top Chef Estrellas; alumni keynote speeches from TJ Douglas, founder and CEO of Drink Progressively Group and founder of The Urban Grape; and the winners of the Alumni Speaker Contest; breakout sessions; the Kinder, Gentler “Shark Tank”-Style Pitch Competition; keynote speaker meet-and-greet sessions; Santander’s Cultivate Small Business Fall 2023 Graduation; and exploring the Business Growth Marketplace.
5:30 – 7:30 p.m. | Closing Reception and Inner City 100 Awards Ceremony
The culminating event of the conference, we will celebrate the 25th year of the Inner City 100 Awards list, by honoring the 100 fastest-growing small businesses in under-resourced communities to make the list in 2023.

For the very first time, ICIC alumni had the opportunity to compete for a keynote speaking slot at the Annual Conference! We received 40 submissions, and after three rounds of votes from ICIC alumni leaders and the public, we’re thrilled to announce our contest winners: Amber Lawson, Principal, Aspire Construction & Design, and Brittany Raji Alberty, Founder, The Marketing Midwife.
Our contest winners will join TJ Douglas, Founder and CEO of Drink Progressively Group, in delivering TED-style keynote speeches.
To enjoy all the conference offerings, plan to arrive by noon on Monday, December 11, and depart no earlier than Wednesday, December 13.

Be sure to visit the Business Growth Marketplace (BGM), featuring dynamic tradeshow-style booths hosted by a diverse array of ICIC alumni businesses, ecosystem partners, and conference sponsors. The Business Growth Marketplace will take place from 1:15-5:00 p.m. on December 12, right outside the Regency Ballroom.
