The deadline to apply is Friday, May 19, 2023.

The initial application takes about 10 minutes to complete. ICIC will use the information you provide in this application to determine your company’s eligibility. If you meet the eligibility criteria outlined below, we will invite you to complete the extended application, which will ask for additional materials to verify your previously submitted information and secure your position as a finalist. Winners will be selected based on revenue growth from 2018 through 2022.

Nominate businesses for the 2023 IC100 Awards before Friday, April 28th!

Once you submit your nomination(s), we recommend that you reach out to your nominees to let them know of their nomination and encourage them to apply by using this email template. If your nominees meet the initial qualifying criteria, they will be invited to complete an extended application to verify previously submitted information and secure their position as a finalist. We will keep you updated on your nominees’ statuses throughout the process.

Eligibility

To be eligible for an IC100 award, a company must:

  • Be an independently-operated company (not a subsidiary or division of another company) that was incorporated by January 2018 and have recorded a full-year of revenue in 2018
  • Be a privately-owned, for-profit company that is not a bank or holding company
  • Be headquartered in an under-resourced community*
  • Have revenues of at least $50,000 in 2018 and have grown to at least $500,000 in 2022 and be the same legal entity throughout those four years.

* ICIC defines under-resourced communities as areas of concentrated poverty within urban and suburban communities.

IC100 winners are catalysts of opportunity, optimism, and transformation in under-resourced communities. Thus, businesses or owners that are currently under criminal conviction or engaged in or supporting any activity that is illegal under federal, state, or local law are not eligible. Similarly, businesses engaged in activities that are harmful to the local community (e.g. predatory lending) are not eligible.
