Black in Business

Your time is now! Seize it!

Since 2009, ICIC has served as the national outreach and recruitment partner for Goldman Sachs’ widely impactful 10,000 Small Businesses initiative. The partnership expanded its reach to better serve sole proprietors with the creation of the One Million Black Women: Black in Business program.

In response to the increasing number of Black women sole proprietors and the disadvantages they face, this program teaches participants how to price their products or services, hire employees, understand finances, and so much more. The One Million Black Women: Black in Business curriculum was designed in partnership with NYU Stern School of Business and is delivered through both in-person sessions at Goldman Sachs headquarters in New York City and virtual sessions over 10 weeks, both at no cost to participants across the country. Met with immense enthusiasm, the program has seen more than 700 participants across six cohorts since its launch in May 2022. Now, the Black in Business program looks forward to serving many more Black women sole proprietors in the future.
