Shelton Ansley is the Rural Manager on the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses team, focusing on the program’s rural expansion into additional markets. Prior to joining ICIC, Shelton managed technical assistance programs for rural businesses as the Director of Kentucky Highlands Investment Corporation’s Innovation Center, a business incubator and Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) located in Eastern Kentucky. His professional journey includes being a consultant for Serco, and an entrepreneur, launching a regional commercial maintenance company. He also has experience in State Government with roles involving marketing, public relations, and emergency response.
Shelton earned a Master of Global Business with Blockchain Technology from the University of the Cumberlands, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee, and a Bachelor of Human Environmental Science from the University of Alabama.
He and his family reside in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky. Outside of work, Shelton is an avid tennis player and an enthusiastic fan. He also enjoys college football and traveling.
