Since 1999, ICIC has identified and celebrated the 100 fastest-growing businesses in under-resourced communities across the nation. The Inner City 100 (IC100) award awards are published annually and unveiled in December.

IC100 winners are catalysts of opportunity, optimism, and transformation in the communities where they are located. These businesses have created meaningful employment and brought economic revitalization to their neighborhoods. They are a testament to the competitive business advantages of under-resourced communities and inspire entrepreneurs nationwide.

2024 IC100 Special Award Winners

Every year, ICIC selects three IC100 winners to receive the following awards:

Business Growth Award: This award recognizes the fastest-growing business on the 2024 Inner City 100 list. Selection and ranking are based on percentage revenue growth from 2019 through 2023.

Mainstream Medical Devices, a majority woman-owned company in Austin, Texas, specializes in innovative medical solutions through contract packaging, manufacturing, and single-use OEM devices. Chevron Dorothy A. Terrell Community Impact Award: Named in honor of ICIC’s former President and CEO, this award recognizes the IC100 company that has the greatest impact on its community through quality job creation and civic engagement.

NORTHERN REAL ESTATE URBAN VENTURES, LLC – RECIPIENT OF THE CHEVRON DOROTHY A. TERRELL COMMUNITY IMPACT AWARD

Northern Real Estate Urban Ventures (NREUV) is a community development organization dedicated to creating inclusive, affordable housing and commercial spaces and revitalizing low-income communities. In addition to offering real estate advisory and construction management services, NREUV runs initiatives like Project Community Capital (PCC) and Heighten the Hustle, which support economic growth and entrepreneurship for underserved populations.

FedEx Champion of Global Entrepreneurship Award: This award recognizes an Inner City 100 company for its embodiment of the FedEx commitment to diversity, global trade, empowering entrepreneurs, and creating employment opportunities.

ELECTRONIC RESPONSIBLE RECYCLERS, LLC – RECIPIENT OF THE FEDEX CHAMPION OF GLOBAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARD

Electronic Responsible Recyclers, LLC (ER2) is a leader in sustainable e-waste management, focusing on innovative recycling processes and donating refurbished technology to under-resourced communities. By bridging the digital divide, ER2 empowers individuals with access to essential technology while promoting environmental sustainability through its core values of servanthood, continuous improvement, humility, and excellence.
