Dos Hermanos brings authentic Oaxacan-style Mexican food to the central Ohio community via four brick-and-mortar locations, three mobile food trucks, a taco cart, catering services, and at concession stands at Lower.com Field and in the Greater Columbus Convention Center. In 2012, Lisa Gutierrez, owner and CEO, left her decade-long career at Cheesecake Factory to follow a wild dream of starting a food truck business with her husband, Vicente. With little more than a borrowed food truck, a modest savings of $2000, and boundless ambition, they launched Dos Hermanos Taco Truck, introducing Vicente’s family’s authentic Oaxacan-style recipes to their community. The Dos Hermanos’ Food Fort 2.0 location, situated in a food desert, houses the company’s commissary kitchen, food trucks, and administrative offices. During the pandemic, the community’s sole alternative to fresh produce was a corner gas station. Dos Hermanos bridged this gap, offering not just their regular menu but also fresh, local staples. Post-pandemic, this location continues to provide reduced-price fresh food to the neighborhood.
