Jordan Gerdes

As a Program Coordinator on the Inner City Capital Connections (ICCC) team, Jordan is responsible for building relationships with key members of under-served communities and small business owners across the country. He primarily works with the data analysis team responsible for development of ICIC’s Annual Impact Report and data requests from external stakeholders.

Before joining ICIC, Jordan was in secondary education. He taught Humanities courses at the middle and high school level, using data analysis to craft engaging curriculum that promoted students’ ability to meet and exceed state and national standards. Before teaching, he worked in IT operations and event management for a destination resort in Oregon.

He lives in Houston, Texas with his wife and two dogs. In his free time, he writes for various outlets, combining pop culture analysis and historical context. Jordan holds a B.A. in English from the University of Portland and an M.A. in Teaching from Oregon State University, both focused in digital humanities.
