TSI Engineering Inc., founded in 2009, specializes in heavy civil engineering projects including freeway rest areas, SCADA systems, water filtration and sewage treatment systems, lift stations, park recreation developments, and utility line installations. The company serves federal government, state agencies, counties, and local cities. Founded by Mr. Ali, who earned degrees in physics, mathematics, and civil engineering before immigrating to the United States, the company has grown from a garage startup into a multimillion-dollar enterprise.
TSI Engineering developed a curriculum for Columbia University titled The Foundations of Construction Business: Formation and Operations, based on the founder’s experience growing the company. Mr. Ali sponsored the SAME Sacramento Post Golf Tournament promoting collaboration among engineers and military professionals, and sponsored the Bill Santucci Memorial Golf Tournament to raise scholarships for high school students. He also served as a judge for the Regional STEM Fair and organized cultural events promoting community wellbeing.
