Toast & Jam, founded in 2005, is a certified woman-owned and operated mobile DJ company based in Chicago. What began as a one-woman operation has grown into a team staffed mostly by women, providing DJs, photo booths, lighting, and live-music add-ons for weddings and corporate events.
Toast & Jam created a formalized, values-centered DJ training and evaluation system blending technical mastery with cultural competency, teaching inclusive emceeing, vendor collaboration, and client communication. The company is a member of the Logan Square Chamber of Commerce and the Sustainable Events Collective. Founder Mary Nisi served on the WIPA board and is a founding member of CHIRP Radio. Toast & Jam donates services to nonprofits, mentors emerging DJs, and produces community events like Hot Flash Dance, welcoming BIPOC and LGBTQ+ talent.
