Sam Flanagan

Sam is a social impact researcher and digital strategist with over a decade of experience working with startups, social enterprises, and nonprofits. As a Research Analyst at ICIC, she primarily focuses on private sector impact analysis at the local and regional levels.

Prior to joining ICIC, Sam worked with the Massachusetts’ Technology Leadership Council, with several startups and accelerators, and as a consultant at a boutique Silicon Valley agency. She has worked with entrepreneurs across the United States and in Bogotá, Nairobi, and London on research and communications projects and continues to volunteer her time as a mentor to entrepreneurs across the world.

Sam holds an MSc in Local Economic Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where her research focused on business model innovation and regional innovation systems. She also holds a BS in Journalism and International Studies from the University of Miami.
