As a Senior Program Coordinator on the Inner City Capital Connections (ICCC) Team, Maria is responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders to identify and recruit businesses for the ICCC programs in Boston, MA, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, MD and Denver, CO. In addition, Maria manages the Webinar component of the ICCC program by leading efforts to create and market webinars that will benefit ICCC participants and alumni.
Prior to joining ICIC, Maria interned at Graduate Women International (GWI) in Geneva, Switzerland. GWI is a non-governmental organization working to advance women’s rights through universal access to quality education. Maria was a key member of the Communications and Advocacy team, where she helped with social media outreach, wrote press releases and attended and reported on the United Nations’ Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). Maria also interned at Esplanade Travel in Boston, MA where she was a Travel Document Specialist, overseeing the visa service department.
Maria graduated from Boston University in May 2018 with a B.A. in International Relations and a minor in Business Administration and Management.
