Tim Ferguson is the Founder, Chairman and Managing Partner of Next Street, a merchant bank for the urban enterprise. Tim has over 30 years of financial services, investment banking, and investment management experience. He has managed financial services businesses through all stages of business development, including start-up ventures and global operations with more than 1,000 employees across multiple locations.
Prior to founding Next Street, he served as a Senior Managing Director of Putnam Investments, where he was responsible for all investment activities and information technology initiatives; as CEO of HSBC Asset Management; and as CEO of County NatWest Securities. Tim is a board member of the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City and Chair of the Boston Children’s Chorus. He is also a founding board member of the School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs at Northeastern University. Tim holds a B.A. in Politics, Economics and Law from the University of Buckingham.
